What We Do
Doghouse Art is all about creating the perfect picture. We start with a photo, keep drawing from there, and before you know it we have a colored drawing just waiting for you.
How We Do It
A photo
This is where the magic starts - with a photo of the subject. The most crucial thing here is proportioning. If I don’t have a reference, if I don’t know how big everything is and try to do it from memory, I will go crazy.
Thankfully, I don’t have to thanks to this important step. I don’t have to take the photo either! You (that’s right, YOU) can do it too.
A Sketch
These can also be sold to customers, and I’m happy with them, but… they’re simply not as arresting as a finished product that’s been fully colored.
A Colored Drawing.
Once I’m done with the sketch, I upload it to photoshop and use that to color over the original drawing.
This is the result! As long as the subject is something meaningful to you, then we’re golden.
