A Memento of New Hampshire

These drawings (and the one animation) are all inspired by my home state of New Hampshire’s strong history of railroading. The state has a large number of scenic railroads, and these are (mostly) inspired by the ones I grew up among - the Conway Scenic in particular. I’ve always had a lifelong love of railroads, and I express that feeling through these drawings.

Why Trains?

Simply put? Because it’s fun. There’s some childish part of me that loves big machines, that likes the sound of a steam engine whistling, and just loves the sense of style of it all.

And while I’ve outgrown some of my desire to build train sets, drawing trains is a way to capture that same sense of childish joy.
